Our biggest challenge lately has been Randy's tennis elbow. Fortunately, Ricky's finished much of his coursework, and has been extremely helpful in key areas, such as the installation of the overhead ventilation panels.

Another situation that arose this past week is that we've noticed the partition light screens were cracking and literally falling to pieces. We're not sure if its from the settling in of the set, or from the heat, or simply from stress fractures that were made when they were cut to size. At any rate, we're replacing the diamond-cut acrylic with, of all things, white fabric. The result is actually quite pleasant. We've also been lighting the partitions as we've gone along (Randy's wife Linda has basically used twist-ties to secure the rope lights to 4" vinyl soffit material before they're placed inside each partition). You can see above where we removed the acrylic while hanging the 16" vinyl soffit material that serves as the "ventilation system."
So what's left? On Wednesday, we had 10 items to finish. We finished two of the ten, and almost completed two more. We're getting CLOSE...
The construction schedule for the coming week:

Options to Consider:
· Installation of
Overhead Lighting
· Installation of Vinyl Enclosure for Carport
· Running a Flexible Exhaust Hose from Dryer Exhaust Vent out the
side to help keep the set cool on laundry day.
Funding is still an issue, but recently, we've had more people donate to help cover our expenses. (Producer Ricky Thompson contributed mightily in that regard!) We're almost finished with the bridge, and we're this close to being ready to film. We realize that in today's economy everyone has their own priorities. Lord knows, even here at Project: Potemkin, we've got ours. Please keep us in mind. Even $5 or $10 would help. Click below to make a donation today! Rest assured, we're non-profit, and once our expenses are met, we'll not be making requests like these.
Note: We're planning on producing a short vignette as background for the upcoming episode. This vignette will basically be more or less a test of our equipment, our lighting, our set, but will hopefully be entertaining as well. Stay tuned for further announcements.
